I decided to create a brief video of a meeting the editorial board had last week. If you read my previous post you’ll see that the board was making a decision on how to approach getting an audience for a radio show that Say What  may partner with.

Take a look at what was discussed.

Although Say What Magazine has turned its print publication into an online magazine, finding content for the magazine is not the biggest issue to consider. Instead before finding where and how you are going to supply your content, it’s important to figure out how to reach an audience. Putting up a website does not guarantee that thousands of people are going to visit your website everyday. How do they even know it exists? They don’t. They need to be reached but how? There are plenty of ways you may approach this dilemma – market with social networking sites, send e-blasts, word of mouth and etc. One of Say What Magazine’s approaches is to use one journalism media (radio) to give visibility to another (the online magazine). If people begin to tune it to the radio show and listen to the magazine’s segment on the show wouldn’t they be more willing to look at the online magazine too? Maybe. If the content is interesting enough, a following is almost a sure thing. It’s safe to say it’s worth a shot.
